Vibe coding describes the workflow that emerged once AI coding assistants became reliable enough for serious work: the developer describes what they want, evaluates what the AI produces, accepts or redirects, and iterates. Less typing, more steering.
The term went mainstream in 2025-2026 as it became the dominant mode of building prototypes, internal tools, and personal projects. For technical SEOs, vibe coding has meaningfully lowered the barrier to writing custom audit scripts, log parsers, and data pipelines.
